How will the furniture reach me? For the delivery of larger pieces of furniture our authorised delivery service will contact you in advance by telephone or e-mail to arrange a date to suit you. Smaller items such as lamps or individual chairs are delivered directly by couriers. If you are not at home when they call, they will leave a message for you and try again another time. How do you prove your quality ? In opposite to several of our internet competitors we are selling our furniture also directly to the customers to prove our high quality. Next to our existing showroom in Europe we are planing the opening of our own US office & showroom for the end of 2003 in California and several future representative showrooms in different cities for the year 2004 -2005.
Some of the other furniture stores provide me with a catalogue. Do you? Architects and Interior Designers can be provided with a catalogue. In order to supply SteelClassic furniture at some of the world's keenest prices, we have to save costs in those areas where this does not disadvantage our customers. We have thus decided to dispense with a printed catalogue for our private customers, as all of our furniture can be viewed on your computer screen in an image quality which will enable you to print your own picture, should you need one. Are the "originals" available from SteelClassic.com? Our products are accurate reproductions of pieces of furniture created in the 1920s and 1930s. They are thus not originals from the Bauhaus workshops of those times (manufactured personally by Bauhaus designers). Such pieces are extremely rare these days and are largely in the possession of museums or private collectors. By faithfully reproducing the form and materials of the originals we enable our delighted customers to enjoy their designers' creativity at affordable prices. Most of the pieces are still manufactured largely by hand by small Italian firms. How can I tell the copy from the original? Of course there are differences between our pieces and the originals. What you receive from us is new furniture, and most of the originals have been used for many decades. From the design point of view, however, no relevant deviations from the originals can be detected.
How and when do I have to pay? In general you will not pay for your furniture until you receive it, i.e. on delivery. Then payment is easy using your credit card. Our approved delivery services are authorised to accept your payment on behalf of SteelClassic.com
